On August 28, 2024, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., the Mechanical Engineering Department hosted an Expert guest lecture on "Basic Principles and Application of CNC Machines," delivered by Mr. Sanjay Sumbhate, Maintenance Manager at NSSL Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur. The session provided 5th-semester students with in-depth knowledge of CNC technology, covering key topics such as the machine’s basic principles, essential components, and various industry applications.

Mr. Sumbhate’s presentation included a detailed look at the roles of the controller unit, drive systems, and feedback mechanisms, and he illustrated these concepts with real-world examples from NSSL Pvt. Ltd. The discussion extended to the benefits of CNC machines in automotive, aerospace, and defence production.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks proposed by Ashley Joseph, the student coordinator, who expressed gratitude to Mr. Sumbhate for his insightful lecture. Volunteers Ms Khushi Jaiswal and Ms Rupal Ramteke presented Mr Sumbhate with a gift as a token of appreciation for his time and expertise.
