The Technorion, Bhopal Techfest Zonal, IIT Bombay

“The Technorion”, Bhopal Techfest Zonal was held at People's University Bhopal on 15th October 2023, organised by IIT Bombay. This event witnessed enthusiastic participation from various colleges and institutions, including St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology. And it served as a platform for showcasing talent and fostering innovation among students.

A total of 59 students actively participated in the competition who were accompanied with Prof. Prafull Tarwatkar, Prof. Atish Gour , Prof. Mamta Chhabriya, Prof. Sanket Joshi. The group departed on 14 October from Nagpur, participated in the competitions on the 15th and returned back on 16th of October. They showcased their skills and knowledge across different domains, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the event.

There were 4 competitions held namely Meshmerize, Cozmoclench, CoDecode. Meshmerize and Cozmoclench challenged the students to design a bot which could overcome obstacles and trace a pre-designed path, CoDecode required participants to solve real life problems through code using their programming and algorithmic skills. In all the various competitions were designed to test the participants' technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and teamwork. Students engaged in intense competitions, demonstrating their proficiency in their respective fields.

Out of the participants and the winners, a team from St. Vincent Pallotti College of engineering which participated in the event Cozmoclench secured 5th position. The winning teams displayed exceptional talent and determination, earning their spot to represent their institution at the prestigious IIT Bombay Techfest.

The winning team from the zonal competition, representing St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology included Rochan Awasthi, Sayali Bambal, Bismeet Kaur Kukreja, Hannah Elsa Abraham have successfully qualified to participate in the upcoming IIT Bombay Techfest. This achievement reflects their hard work, dedication, and commitment to excellence.
