A Guest Lecture was organised by the Department of Civil Engineering, St. Vincent Pallotti College of Engineering and Technology,Nagpur on 20-10-2023 from 11.30 am to 01.30 pm. Dr. G. Anusha, Professor & Head Department of Civil Engineering from KPR Institute of Engineering & Technology, Coimbatore delivered the lecture on the topic of “Wastewater Treatment- Processes & Methods” for the second year students. Ms. Shalmali Amde, member of Sthaapatya student’s club introduced the guest speaker.

Total of around 70 students including faculty members participated in this programme.The speaker explained the basics of wastewater treatment process, and discussed in detailed about each treatment unit and their working principles.The lecture also focused on the possibilities and reach abilities of research and development in the field of Environmental Engineering.

The expert briefed about the latest upcoming technologies that are trending and their potential use in wastewater treatment. The expert’s lecture ended with the question and answer session. Students felt that the session was very informative and interactive. Prof. Akash Kaley, faculty co-ordinator, expressed his gratitude for the very informative and interactive session. He also placed formal vote of thanks on the record.
