An induction program for 3rd Semester Mechanical Engineering students was conducted on August 28th, 31st, and September 1st, 2023, from 2:15 pm to 4:15 pm, led by Prof. Shripad Deo.

Dr. P.B. Lanjewar, HOD of Mechanical Engineering, warmly welcomed students and provided a comprehensive introduction to the department, including its labs, infrastructure, and facilities. Dr. A.R. Bhende enlightened students about the department's academic procedures, evaluation processes, and offered detailed explanations on SGPA and CGPA calculations.

Faculty coordinators from various clubs/chapters presented insights. Dr. G.R. Boob discussed the Design Club, Dr. M.P. Kshirsagar highlighted ISHRAE student's chapter activities and visits, Dr. V. C. Sontake shared achievements and activities of the SAE Collegiate Club , Dr. M. Ahemad, coordinator of the Institute-level R & D Cell, discussed policies related to student paper publication and patent filing.

Dr. G.R. Boob introduced various skill development programs aligned with industry needs, encouraging students to bridge the curriculum gap and meet industry requirements. Dr. Vijay Deshmukh, the Librarian, provided insights into library facilities, including journals, reference books, and e-resources.  Prof. M.S. Khan shed light on co-curricular and extra-curricular activities at both the department and institute levels, explaining participation procedures and motivating students for comprehensive personality development.

This induction program aimed at preparing 3rd-semester Mechanical Engineering students for their academic journey and holistic growth.
