Expert Lecture on Agile Framework and Scrum
The Department of Information Technology had organised an expert lecture on "Agile Framework and Scrum" on July 3rd, 2023, specifically for the 4th-semester students of the IT Department.
The session was conducted by Mr. Aaswad Wagmare, an experienced Business Leader, who has been assisting clients in building complex products for over 14 years. Currently serving as a Delivery Manager at MAXIMESS, Mr. Wagmare provided valuable insights into the differences between the traditional Waterfall model and the Agile approach. He further delved into various Agile methodologies, particularly focusing on the Scrum framework. Additionally, he discussed the distinction between product-based and service-based IT companies, allowing students to gain a comprehensive understanding of these concepts.
Throughout the lecture, students actively engaged in exercises related to the creation of Functional Requirement Documents (FRDs), which provided them with practical exposure to the Agile project management process.
The successful organisation of the session was made possible by the efforts of Prof. Shubhangi Chaware, who is the subject in-charge for Software Engineering and Project Management.
