ACM - Deep Learning Workshop

The ACM Student Chapter of the Department of Computer Engineering hosted an engaging two-day workshop on DEEP LEARNING, held on March 31st  and April 1st , 2023. This comprehensive program was designed to benefit all students and was offered both in-person and online. With the primary aim of introducing students to Deep Learning, its significance, and practical applications, the workshop provided a wide range of knowledge from fundamental concepts to advanced techniques. The highlight of the event was the hands-on experience, allowing participants to actively engage with datasets and apply their learnings.

The workshop commenced with an inaugural ceremony, setting the stage for an enriching learning experience. The first day featured a dynamic session led by our college's accomplished final-year students, including Mr. Shripad Dhopate, Mr. Vedant Muley, Ms. Vedashree Joshi, and Ms. Sarah Master. Beginning with a concise introduction, the session swiftly progressed to cover advanced models, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of the subject matter.

On the second day of the workshop, the focus shifted to the concept of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNN) and its practical implementation. The session further delved into the evaluation of models, exploring Recurrent Neural Networks (RNN), and highlighting various applications of Deep Learning. To ensure active participation, the day included interactive doubt sessions, engaging quizzes, and stimulating assignments. The workshop witnessed a remarkable attendance of over 70 students, with both in-person and online participants making it a successful hybrid learning experience.

The workshop was effectively managed by Prof. Pallavi Wankhede, the Faculty Co-coordinator of the ACM Chapter, and Mr. Om Vispute, the Student Coordinator, along with their dedicated team of ACM members. Their collective efforts ensured the smooth execution of the workshop, contributing to its overall success
