Workshop on “Salesforce in Association with Cymetrix Software Ltd, Mumbai and Department alumnus ”
On September 16, the Department of Information Technology had organized a Workshop on “Salesforce in Association with Cymetrix Software Ltd, Mumbai and Department alumnus” for 3rd-Year students to discuss the importance of cloud computing platforms like Salesforce and Trailhead. Dr. M.V. Bramhe, Head of the Information Technology Department, inaugurated the program and addressed the gathering. The Workshop was attended by 71 students.
On the first day, Ms. Vishakha Soman explained to students the importance of Salesforce Software, its applications, and development using Trailhead. Ms. Vishakha explained that Salesforce is a CRM company where students can upgrade their skills and become experts in development with relatively lesser coding.
Ms. Sneha Ayyer explained about the administration, architecture, and development programs in the organization and that they can build their own applications using the same. After that, all the students were directed to build their own application called "College" with which they learned the know-how of the software.
On the second day, Ms. Shivani Kolhe gave a presentation on "Understanding Salesforce" and explained salesforce security models, the ‘User Management’ trailhead program, and system management. Two trailhead modules on "Data Management" and "Import and Export with Data Management Tools'' were conducted along with the third module on "Lightning App Builder". Students learned how to create apps. A doubt session was taken in the last hour of the workshop to solve their queries. Students completed all three modules on the second day.
On the third day of the workshop, students were evaluated and the Top Ten students were declared winners. Students enthusiastically interacted during the session and found the session helpful and informative. At the end of the session, all their queries were addressed.
Dr. Manoj V. Bramhe, Head of the Department, Prof. Priti C. Golar and Prof. Vishal Tiwari (faculty coordinators) along with the entire team of IT department put in their best efforts to make this workshop a success.
