SVPCET Begins, International Yoga Day Countdown

The NSS Unit and Grievance Redressal Cell together had organized a guest lecture on yoga alongwith yoga asana  demonstration on May 31st, 2022 for all girl students of the college. 
Dr. Sonali Kakde Patil, a yoga expert enriched the students by explaining the importance of yoga. She also demonstrated  various yoga asana to students. Some of which included asanas to help reduce dark circles, reduce period cramps and also to reduce migraine headaches. 
The list of yoga asanas that were demonstrated are mentioned below: 
1. Sukhasan
2. Padmasan
3. Vajrasans (for knees, spinal cord & concentration)
4. Manduk Aasan (for Diabetes)
5. Bhujang Aasan (for regular periods and pain relief.)
6. Nawka Aasan (for spinal cord)
7. Pranayam [Anilom & Vilom, Bhramari (for the thyroid), Shitalla etc. ]

The students benefited from this program and thanked the guest for sharing her knowledge, expertise and real life experiences. The program was coordinated by Dr. Ashlesha Nagpure & Prof. Priti Golar and
