The Mechanical Engineering Design Centre and Career Guidance Cell in association with FAB-Lab, Nagpur, had organized a one day workshop on Additive Manufacturing on 15th Feb, 2020. Mr. Asim Mirza from FAB-Lab was the expert trainer leading the sessions. 

Participants were given complete orientation about additive manufacturing followed by hands-on practice sessions on complete cycle of processes from designing to 3-D printing. Facilities available at the Centre were utilized for smooth conduction of this workshop. All participants individually performed CAD designing, pre-processing (slicing), G-code generation and 3-D printing of different parts. 

Participants showcased a high level of involvement and interest in learning and understanding this latest technology. Students were given an MCQ test to evaluate their knowledge followed by a feedback from them, suggesting to increase the frequency of such workshops in future.
