About T&P

There has been a paradigm shift in the way businesses and industry are meeting their HR needs. A few years back campus recruitment was unheard of except at IITS, IIMs and NITs. However with the impact of liberalization campus drives have become a preferred source of recruitment.

The role of T&P Department is not just to impart skills In aptitude development, group discussion and personal interview-the usual methods of screening, but to inculcate professional ethics within students and make them as per industry need, we at the T&P Department are in sync with the entire College, when we implement systems, processes and practices that endeavor to make future professionals.


POLICY STATEMENT

Providing placement is a facility offered by the College which depends on market conditions. The College does not guarantee placement/opportunities to the students in core/IT sector but will strive to do so as a facility for the students. Placement is a joint activity and students must cooperate with College authorities.

  • Students who want to avail training & placement facility from the College must register with the T&P department.
  • Registration for individual company drive is mandatory apart from the T&P registration. Student failing to register for individual company drive will not be eligible for that drive.
  • Student registered for a drive must appear for that drive.
  • Stringent action like debarment from further drives will be taken against students a) Registering for a drive but not attending the same b) Opting out of selection process mid-way.
  • Students not fulfilling eligibility criteria must not appear for the drive.
  • A placed student breaking any rule of the College or the T&P department will not a) get reference check of their hiring company cleared by the department b) S/he will not get the T&P clearance for provisional certificate/degree/ mark list.
  • A student attending a drive is representing the College and must behave in a decent manner at the drive venue.
  • Student must attend placement drive in full college uniform (Blazer & Tie).
  • Student must not contact company officials directly.
  • A student placed in a core company from College side will not be provided with further opportunities from the College.
  • A core branch student who gets placed in an IT/software company will get one opportunity in a core company provided the company/ host college permits.
  • A selected student can appear for any one dream company. Dream status to any company is the sole discretion of the College authorities and the T&P department. Placed students must apply after placement if he wants to appear for a dream company.
  • It is mandatory for selected student to submit the offer/appointment letter with the T&P department. Failure to do so will result in clause (a and (b of Rule 5.
  • It is the responsibility of the individual student to update her / his marks / cell number. The latest mark list must be submitted with T&P seven days after declaration of result. Failure to do so may result in losing opportunity in a company or number of companies and onus for this will be on the individual student. This is applicable to placed students also and failure to comply will result in clause (a and (b of Rule 5.
  • Student desirous of placement opportunities from the College must undergo campus recruitment training (CRT) program implemented by the College.
  • Non-compliance of rules will result in strict action against the erring student even debarring from further placement opportunities and clause (a and (b of Rule 5.
  • A copy(hard/soft) of the joining letter should be sent to T&P to get the clearance for college documents.

T&P Objective

  • To enhance the capabilities of each staff to contribute maximum towards the fulfillment of the Institute’s vision and mission.
  • To empower and facilitate each student to get inducted into a meaningful profession before passing out from the program.
